Chelsea Wong is a visual artist, printmaker and ceramicist based in San Francisco. By combining images and text in prints and drawings, Chelsea creates simple narratives about culture and lifestyle—exploring everything from travel to tai chi, the meaning of life and lusting after a pair of good shoes. Her work has often been described as playful, enigmatic and full of curiosity.
Chelsea studied at Parsons School of Design in New York and received her BFA from CCA in 2010. She is the first ever recipient of the Hamaguchi Emerging Artist Fellowship at Kala, and has exhibited across the United States, Europe and Asia.
